Hello, I’m Marina, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I am committed to offering a warm, compassionate, and judgment-free space where you can feel safe exploring your thoughts and emotions. My intention is to walk alongside you as you face life’s obstacles, supporting meaningful growth and lasting change. I deeply believe in the transformative power of therapy and feel honoured to support you in strengthening your overall well-being.
I view every individual as unique, shaped by distinct life experiences, personal values, and cultural influences. For this reason, I take a highly individualized approach, thoughtfully adapting each treatment plan to align with your goals and circumstances. I also use Narrative Therapy in my work. This approach focuses on the stories you tell about your life. Your thoughts and experiences shape these stories. Over time, these stories influence how you see yourself.
Narrative Therapy helps you separate your identity from your problems. You examine your experiences with clarity and structure. This approach works well for trauma. You process difficult events in a safe setting. You rebuild a sense of control. You strengthen your ability to move forward with confidence.
I also integrate mindfulness based therapies into my work. These approaches train you to focus on the present moment. You learn to observe your thoughts and emotions without reacting to them.
Mindfulness reduces stress by slowing automatic responses. You strengthen emotional regulation through structured practice. You build awareness of patterns that affect your mood and behavior. During sessions, you apply these skills in real time. This process supports clearer thinking and balanced decision making.
I earned a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of Guelph. My education focused on evidence based practice and clinical skill development. I trained in assessment, treatment planning, and structured intervention. During my clinical training, I worked with diverse populations facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. This experience strengthened my commitment to individualized care.
My goal is to help you overcome obstacles and reach meaningful goals. Therapy supports self awareness and personal growth. In our sessions, you examine challenges with clarity. You identify strengths and internal resources. We develop practical strategies that support daily functioning and long term progress.
